Welcome to
Gurukul Vidyamandir Secondary School
The school was founded through the vision and initiative of a group of enterprising businessmen, IIM graduates, and eminent educationists who were committed to creating a center of excellence in education. The foundation of the school is deeply inspired by the philosophy of Swami Vivekananda, who believed that “Education is the manifestation of the perfection already in man.”
One of the key strengths of the school is its team of dedicated and committed teachers who treat every student like their own child. They laugh with them, guide them, discipline them when necessary, and support them in every step of their growth. Not only the teachers, but also the management, principal, and all staff members work with great dedication and sincerity to uphold the reputation and values of the institution. Together, they strive to keep the school’s flag flying high.

Our School History
A Beginning of new ERA
GURUKUL VIDYA MANDIR SECONDARY SCHOOL is governed by Gurukul Vidya Mandir Trust.It was set up in the year 2001 by Shri Dulal Bhattacharya and some of his likeminded associates with the noble objective of imparting value based education. Shri Dulal Bhattacharya became the founder chairman and revamped the Gurukul tradition in the light of modern and technologically upgraded environment.
Merge with Excepteur Group
The school with its primary wing functioned at Behala, shifted its secondary section in 2004 to a lavish green rural area of Joka.
Initial Start Up Of School
The school was affiliated to CISCE for ICSE in the year 2014
Initial Start Up Of School
Gurukul Vidyamandir upgraded to ISC in Science, commerce & humanities streams in 2017. The school is imparting value based education with the help of its devoted faculties.
